The Suffolk Redevelopment
and Housing Authority is pre-qualifying contractors for construction work
for home owner occupied repairs on an on-going basis up to, but not limited
to $25,000.
Once qualified,
contractors will
be sent bid requests on a regular basis depending on the contractor’s
license. Some of these will involve lead based paint remediation which will
require any workers on that site to be lead safe worker trained.
To be pre-qualified,
contractors must fill out and submit a Contractor Qualification Statement
(please make sure it is notarized) and send all appropriate documents
(contractors license, business license and insurance) to Suffolk
Redevelopment and Housing Authority Development Department. All listing
will be confirmed if approved. Once approved, contractors will be provided
with a copy of the rehab guidelines.
Please be advised that
before any bids are awarded all above-mentioned items must be received by SRHA.
Please feel free to
contact SRHA at (757) 539-2100 if you have any questions about the
information needed in the qualification statement.
