Suffolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority is governed by a Board of Commissioners. All members of the Board of Commissioners are residents of the City of Suffolk and are appointed by City Council. It is the responsibility of the Board of Commissioner to vote on policies, procedures, rules and regulations and to set goals for the Housing Authority. The Board of Commissioners also hires the Executive Director whose responsibility is to manage the day to day operations of the Housing Authority.
