The Mission
of Suffolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority
mission is to develop and operate affordable housing that will provide decent, safe and sanitary homes and a suitable living environment to low and
moderate income families of the City of Suffolk. Further, SRHA will
participate in the redevelopment and conservation of neighborhoods in
Suffolk, both residential and commercial, so as to enhance living and
working conditions in the City of Suffolk.
From its inception in 1971, this organization's primary goal has been to focus
on providing equal opportunities in affordable housing, community development,
human services and youth initiatives. We are committed to these services
and opportunities, mindful of our leadership in the community and we strive to
accomplish the goals we have
established.
We
are committed to our relationships to private and public agencies and
organizations, which assist in accomplishing our goals. We endeavor to
continue in our efforts as we live up to our motto that "Good is not Good,
when Excellence is Expected".
