Suffolk Redevelopment & Housing Authority provides housing assistance for families, elderly, and disabled individuals through a variety of programs including Public Housing, Housing Choice Vouchers, and Project Based Vouchers. The U.S. Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) administers federal resources to local housing agencies (HAs) that manage the house for low-income residents at rents they can afford.
