PUBLIC NOTICE - CAPITAL FUND MEETINGS

All residents are invited to attend and provide input on planned improvements and funding allocations for Capital Fund meetings at Hoffler Apartments, Colander Bishop Meadows, and Chorey Park Apartments

Public Notice is hereby given that the Suffolk Redevelopment & Housing Authority (SRHA) will hold a Public Hearing regarding its Capital Fund 5-Year Action Plan, as required by HUD under Section 511 of the Quality Housing and Work Responsibility Act of 1998, in Suffolk at the following locations and times:

•         Wednesday, March 25, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. - Chorey Park Apartments, 804 W. Constance Road

•         Wednesday, March 26, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. - Hoffler Apartments, 2210 E. Washington St

•         Thursday, March 27, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. - Colander Bishop Apartments, 925 Brook Ave

 

A draft copy of the Capital Fund 5-Year Action Plan was made available for review and inspection by the public on February 27, 2026, and is available at the following locations:

 

SRHA Property Management Offices

·         Chorey Park Apartments, 804 W. Constance Road

·         Hoffler Apartments, 2210 E. Washington St

·         Colander Bishop Apartments, 925 Brook Ave

·         SRHA Main Office, 530 E. Pinner St

Please contact our main office at (757)539-2100 to request a copy of the Capital Fund 5-Year Action Plan & Annual Statement / Performance Evaluation Report.

Public Housing Residents, SRHA Board Members, Resident Advisory Board Members, Resident Council Members, organizations, elected officials, and the public are encouraged to participate in the public hearing and submit suggestions, recommendations, comments, and ideas for the Capital Fund 5-Year Action Plan.

Comments regarding the Capital Fund 5-Year Action Plan are due no later than 6:00 p.m. on Monday, April 13, 2026, via hand delivery at the above locations. A public hearing will be held at the SRHA Administrative Offices located at 530 E. Pinner on Monday, April 13, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. The SRHA Board of Commissioners is scheduled to meet and approve the 2025-2029 Rolling CFP Plan and FY 2027 Annual Plan on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at 5 p.m. at the SRHA Administrative Office located at 530 E. Pinner St.
