2025-2029 Five-Year PHA Plan and Five-Year Capital Fund Program Plan
The Suffolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority (SRHA) hereby gives notice that it has developed its proposed 2025-2029 Five-Year Public Housing Agency (PHA) Plan and Five-Year Capital Fund Program (CFP) Plan, collectively referred to as the PHA Plan.
The purpose of this notice is to provide residents, participants, and members of the public an opportunity to inspect, review, and comment on the proposed PHA Plan prior to submission to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
The proposed PHA Plan describes the policies, programs, operations, and capital improvement activities of SRHA's public housing and Housing Choice Voucher programs.
The draft PHA Plan is available for public inspection at the following locations:
- SRHA Administrative Office, 530 E. Pinner Street, Suffolk, VA 23434
- Public Housing Community Offices: 925 Brook Avenue, Suffolk, VA 23434; 2210 E. Washington Street, Suffolk, VA 23434; and,
- 804 W. Constance Road, Suffolk, VA 23434.
PUBLIC ACCESS / ALTERNATIVE FORMATS
The PHA Plan will be made available in accessible formats upon request. Individuals who require assistance to review the document, including large print, electronic text, or other reasonable accommodations, may contact SRHA at (757) 539-2100 or tkennebrew@suffolkrha.org.
PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD
The proposed PHA Plan will be available for public review and comment for a period of 45 days, beginning Friday, June 12, 2026, and ending Monday, July 27, 2026.
PUBLIC HEARING
A public hearing will be held on Monday, July 27, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. at the Suffolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority Administrative Office, 530 E. Pinner Street, Suffolk, VA 23434. The purpose of the hearing is to obtain public comment on the proposed PHA Plan prior to submission to HUD.
