PUBLIC NOTICE- ANNUAL PLAN
The Suffolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority (SRHA) has developed its Public Notice is hereby
given that the Suffolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority (SRHA) has developed its proposed FY
2026-2027 PHA Annual Plan and 5-Year Capital Fund Plan. These documents outline the Authority's
high-level goals, including:
• Repositioning Strategies: Intent to review Section 18 Demolition/Disposition applications
for obsolete units at Hoffler Apartments.
• Program Innovation: Research and development of an HCV Homeownership Program.
• Strategic Housing Growth: Continued utilization of Project-Based Vouchers (PBVs) at Heron's Landing, October Station, The Villas at Reid Landing, Eagle Landing, White Marsh Pointe, Saratoga
Place, Oak Terrace, Hill Point Terrace, and future sites.
These plans outline SRHA's goals and objectives and provide information about SRHA's current
policies, operations, programs, and goals. Copies of the draft of the FY 2026-2027 Annual PHA plan
and 5-Year Capital Fund Plan are available at SRHA's main office, 530 E. Pinner Street, Suffolk, VA
23434, between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, SRHA's public housing community
rental office (925 Brook Avenue, 2210 E. Washington Street, 804 W. Constance Road all located in
Suffolk VA 23434, and on SRHA's website, www.suffolkrha.org.
PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD
The draft Annual plan is available for public review and inspection for 45 days, beginning
February 27, 2026, through April 13, 2026.
A public hearing will take place on Monday, April 13, at 6:00 p.m. at Suffolk Redevelopment and
Housing Authority, 530 E. Pinner Street, Suffolk, VA 23434, to provide citizens with an opportunity
to comment on the plans before submission to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
Written public comments may also be submitted on or before Monday, April 13, 2026, to the
attention of Tanzerina Kennebrew, Director of Housing at tkennebrew@suffolkrha.org or
757-539-2100.
