Sign up For Your Free COVID-19 Vaccine

vaccinate.virginia.gov

The Virginia Department of Health has launched a new, centralized website, vaccinate.virginia.gov that allows Virginians to easily pre-register for the free COVID-19 vaccine. Their 'one-stop-shop' website allows individuals to pre-register online or by calling 877-VAX-IN-VA (877-829-4682), confirm that they are on the wait list, and learn more about Virginia's vaccination program.

They advise that Virginians who have previously pre-registered through their local health district have been automatically imported into the new system and do not need to pre-register again. Data migration is continuing and it may take time for your name to appear in the centralized system. Everyone who has previously registered is still on the list, and their status will not be affected. Please only complete the form once per person.

ANYONE can lend a hand in completing the online survey form. Get assistance from a relative, friend, or neighbor...Even your grandchild can help - it's that easy!

No email address? No problem! When filling out the form, select a tab for whether you wish to be notified by phone or by email, and then enter that information so that someone can contact you.

While not an actual registration to receive the vaccine, the online form allows the Virginia Department of Health or a partner organization to collect important pre-screening information so that their staff can contact individuals that have expressed an interest in receiving the COVID-19 vaccine to schedule an appointment for vaccination. The sooner you're registered - the sooner you can be contacted! Patience is key, however, as we wait for actual vaccine doses to be provided to our Health District. You may also want to contact your healthcare provider, as they may be scheduling vaccination appointments for their patients.

Don't forget, the City of Suffolk Call Center has also been established as another convenient option to provide assistance for citizens that are uncomfortable or unable to complete the pre-registration form. They can be reached at 757.514.4570, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, until advised otherwise. While staff are unable to actually schedule vaccinations, confirm appointments, or give medical advice, they can provide individual assistance to pre-register citizens.

Remember, We're All in This Together! Stay Safe Suffolk...Stop the Spread
