Assisted Rental Housing Applications

Suffolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority (SHA) will open it's Project Based Voucher application for rental assistance at White Marsh Pointe at Eagle Landing located in Suffolk, VA 23434. We are now accepting applications for new construction 1, 2 & 3 bedroom apartment homes.

Applications will be accepted virtually (online) by accessing the Suffolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority website at www.suffolkrha.org. You can begin submitting your application at 9:00 am Thursday, August 18, 2022 through 3:00 pm Friday, August 19, 2022. Applications can be distributed to persons with a disability by calling 757-935-5057 for specific reasonable accommodation request.

The application deadline is Friday, August 19, 2022 at 3:00 pm. All applications submitted online must be received by Suffolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority by 3:00pm. If mailed, must be postmarked by August 19, 2022 to the address below.

All applicants will be required to submit birth certificates, social security cards, non-expired picture identification, verification of income (no more than sixty days old) and verification of assets (banking, stocks, bonds, etc.)

Maximum Income Limit of Area Median Income (AM) for one person is 60% of the AMI-$39,300. If you have any questions, please contact White Marsh Pointe at Eagle Landing office staff at 757-935-5057.

Start application message that reads: We will guide you through the application process step by step. Your information will automatically be saved so that you can stop and continue your application at a later time. When you complete the application, it will be submitted for consideration. We will start by getting some key information to start your application. This information will be used to determine if you have a pending application or an application already in process. Head of Household Last Name. If you don't have a Social Security Number check here.

The next screen you will see is shown below.

Identification number message that reads: The following identification number has been assigned to you. (Showing example number). Write down this identification number. It will be required when you access this application in the future.

The next screen you will see shows the waiting list currently opened.

You can now proceed and complete your application. Once application is completed, please register for the web portal as described below and you can enter your social security number and other personal information that may have been missed.

Please follow the registration link to create an account. Head of Household and any household member 18 years of age or older can register for an account. Once an account is created and activated an applicant will have access to the following:

  • Update application
  • View position on the waiting list
