Suffolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority Assisted Rental Housing Applications

Suffolk Redevelopment and Housing Authority (SRHA) will distribute Applications for Heron's Landing Single Room Occupancy Apartments ( locate in Chesapeake, Virgina) Project Based Voucher Waiting list.

Qualified applicants must be single persons who are homeless.

Homeless Families are defined as:

Lack a fixed, regular and adequate night time residence: AND Have a primary night time residence that is supervised public or private shelter providing temporary accommodations (including welfare hotels, congregate shelters and transitional housing); or an institution providing temporary residence for individuals intended to be institutionalized.

Families residing with friends or relatives on temporary basis will not be included in the homeless definition.

APPLICATIONS WILL BE DISTRIBUTED FROM 9:00 AM TO 12 PM ON MONDAY, TUESDAYS AND WEDNESDAYS at the following location:

All applications distributed on a walk-in basis only at the above location. Bring original social security card, original birth certificate, and non-expired picture identification, verification of income and verification of homelessness.

Waiting list will remain open until further notice.
